Eggbutt Cheltenham Gag

The Eggbutt Cheltenham Gag is mainly used on horses that are heavy in front or drop their head too deep. The gag works by raising the bit up in the horse’s mouth as well as poll pressure, this then should lift the horses up. These bits are very strong and should be used by experienced riders, there is no limit as to how far the bit can be raised in the mouth. This is a fixed cheek bit, everything remains more still in the mouth.
