Plain Eggbutt Snaffle

The Plain Eggbutt Snaffle is a single jointed plain bit with eggbutt sides and flat rings. The mouthpiece is solid and of medium thickness. A more severe snaffle than the hollow mouth type, but still classed as kind, as the mouthpiece should not bruise or cut if used with consideration, and providing the angle of the joint is not such that the action unduly pinches the tongue, it is a very good bit. The eggbutt sides prevent pinching of the lips. Acts in addition to the corners of the lips, on the tongue and the bars.
